Think of slowing market conditions as a great opportunity, the reason for this is that when things are flying high and the market is hot the properties need very little marketing and expertease to get them sold, Realtors become more like order takers rather than marketing and sales professionals as we should be, so the consumer does not really see the need to hire a professional Realtor that brings skill and experience to the table combined with the necessary work ethic to get the job done no matter the market conditions, they just hire the first one they see or more often the cheapest! When the market slows it becomes highly important for the Realtor to develop and execute an effective marketing plan in order to properly position the home for sale, the effectis that those in the profession that are only really interested in order taking quickly realize that this is not for them and when the clients stop calling or the listings dont sell themselves and those pesky board fees, insurance payments and continuing education requirements need to be met they pack up shop and get back to their normal lives, which leaves more opportunity for those among us that are willing to make the effort.
In closing i welcome the opportunity to demonstrate my value to the consumer and look forward to the rewards that it will bring as i build my business in the midst of deteriorating market conditions while everone else stays home and feels sorry for themselves!
